How I Became a Bridal Boudoir Photographer

Hey there! I'm Olivia, the proud owner of 'Til Death Photo.

If you're wondering how I ended up in the captivating world of boudoir photography, let me take you on a quick journey through my story.

For five years, I had poured my heart and soul into capturing beautiful wedding moments. However, as time passed, I sensed that my passion was nudging me in a different direction.

I was incredibly lost and didn’t know how I would be able to leave such a lucrative and steady career, and to top it all off at the peak of my uncertainty I discovered that I had become pregnant at 24, and only 3 short month later the entire world would shut down due to COVID-19. The wedding industry completely shut down and it was a time when us wedding vendors had no idea if the industry would ever bounce back ( obviously now in 2023 we see that it absolutely did ). I was completely terrified, both to stay and leave. To leave weddings felt to be giving up and going down a path of complete financial uncertainty which with a baby on the way only terrified me more. But in that specific climate it was almost just as nerve racking to stay since weddings were being pushed back and canceled left and right.

Bridal boudoir photography emerged as my saving grace, it was the perfect balance—a chance to connect with the incredible women who would have been my brides on their big day, all while expressing my artistic flair and love for portraiture. Gone were the days of an exhaustive shot list; instead, I could pour my creativity into each session, capturing the essence and allure of every individual.

The transition to 'Til Death Photo wasn't just a career pivot; it was a personal evolution. It allowed me to stay connected with my clients in a more intimate way and dedicate quality time to my growing family. It showed me the beauty of adaptation and the grace that comes with embracing change.
